With her welcoming smile and kind disposition, Madiina is without a doubt one of the warmest personalities at Musana. She started as an artisan and was promoted to shift manager in 2013. She now plays a crucial role in day-to-day workings at our workshop in Uganda.
Madiina is 42 and has seven children. She moved to Lugazi with her family for her husband's work in 2004 from Ajija, a village a few miles south. For years, Madiina was unable to find work and instead stayed at home and managed her household. Now at Musana, she is able to generate income to help provide for her family. Her dream is to open a women's botique selling dresses, shoes, and traditional Ugandan formalwear.
