Job Description
Copcan Civil Ltd, part of NorLand Limited, is hiring Civil Labourers to join their team. We have been successfully working on complex construction projects for over 65 years. As a member of Copcan Civil, you will be involved in managing and supporting various construction and installation projects, with opportunities for professional growth.
Responsibilities
- Perform physical tasks such as loading and unloading materials and equipment.
- Prepare construction sites by clearing hazards and ensuring the area is safe.
- Keep the site clean by removing water and scrap materials.
- Provide daily labor support as instructed by the on-site team.
- Assist in setting up and taking down temporary structures when needed.
- Follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
- Be punctual and maintain excellent attendance.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of safety protocols in the construction industry.
- Experience with basic construction tools and power equipment.
- A valid BC driver’s license is a plus but not required.
- First aid certification is an asset.
- Physically fit, able to lift up to 50lbs and work in all weather conditions.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English.
- Experience with rock trucks and compactors is a plus.
Wage
- Expected wage range: $19.40 to $34.32 per hour, depending on experience and skills.
