Position Details

The Princeton Lumber Division is hiring casual laborers for part-time weekend shifts. We are looking for people who are dedicated to safety, have a good attitude, and enjoy physical work in a manufacturing environment.

This role is paid at $34.03 per hour. There is no guarantee of hours after hiring, and this position is not intended to lead to a permanent, full-time role.

Key Duties

Follow safety guidelines and maintain a positive attitude while performing physical tasks.
Entry-level duties may include tasks like shoveling, sweeping, spark watch, equipment operation, and manually handling lumber and debris.
Assist the supervisor with record-keeping, report safety concerns or hazards.
Be on call when needed.
Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications

Must have a Grade 12 diploma or equivalent, or be a current high school student (attach transcripts with application).
Willingness to follow safety practices and wear necessary protective equipment (PPE).
Good problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
Able to work in extreme temperatures (heat and cold).
Must be a team player, willing to work varying shifts and hours.
Able to work independently when needed.
Offers will depend on successfully completing substance testing, background checks, and fitness for work tests, and agreeing to the terms of employment.
